Things to Do in the Area

The Farm is located in Middle Tennessee near the community of Ethridge, known for its large community of old order Amish.

Many people travel to the area to enjoy a country drive amidst the small family farms.

Many of the the Amish have unique crafts and treats such as peanut brittle and hand made soaps for sale and welcome visitors.

Stillhouse Hollow Falls is a State Natural Area located just out side Summertown, Tennessee and only a few miles from The Farm.

The site features a well developed trail to the bottom of the 75 foot waterfall.

It is a moderate hike, with a a gradual decent into the gorge, returning by the same trail.

It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the bottom and about 30 minute to climb back t the top.

Many beautiful wildflowers grow along the trail and at the base of the falls.

The Natural Area was established with the help of Swan Conservation Trust, a nonprofit land trust founded by members of The Farm.

 

Stillhouse Hollow Falls

Swan Conservation Trust owns and manages The Big Swan Headwaters Preserve, a 1450 acre nature sanctuary that surrounds The Farm Community.

Established in 2004, the Preserve contains over 5 miles of pristine streams and is home to many small waterfalls and wetlands.

Visitors are welcome to hike the Preserve, with miles and miles of trails to enjoy.
