Herb Workshop: May 17-20, 2012
Herb Workshop taught by Wendel Combest Ph.D. will be a combination of lecture, herb walks and compounding herbs into tinctures and/or salves and will be held at The Farm Conference Center. This is a 3.5 day workshop which awards 3.5 CEU’s from ACNM (inclusive of 2.0 Pharmacology CEU’s)CEUs from ACNM)
This workshop will present an evidence-based approach to the study and pharmacology of commonly used herbs in the U.S. Dr. Combest will discuss the safety and therapeutic uses of a variety of herbs including those commonly used by midwives. Other topics covered will be aromatherapy, and evidence for the therapeutic benefits of gardens. Herb walks, herbal compounding, plant identification, and a special section identifying survival plants of the Southeastern U.S. will be included. We will also address herbs important to women’s health and reproduction.

Herb Workshop: $565 - Register Now
Includes 3 ½ days of workshop classes, lab fee, and a 200+ page illustrated herbal notebook. The Herb Workshop is held at the Farm Community Center.
The workshop also includes breakfasts with options for cereals, yogurt, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, coffee, hot chocolate and tea; bag lunches with sandwich and chips; and home cooked vegetarian suppers which will include delicious culinary herbs grown in our home gardens.
During this workshop you will have the option of staying at the Community Center Dorm for $18/night/student or renting a private room for $25/night/student.
